LifeWorks recently added to the program of services at its Clearwater clinic, by introducing a range of products that will help treat facial skin, to maintain and improve its appearance.

Heading up the new program is LifeWorks’ Nurse Practitioner, Sue Morgan. She says, “In my role at LifeWorks, I enjoy guiding my patients through the many changes they physically go through as they age. Looking good and re-gaining confidence can really boost self-esteem, which in turn aids good health.”

The new services are divided into different categories:

Botox delivers a protein from the botulism bacteria to provide relaxation in certain muscles.  This relaxation helps to reduce the wrinkles that are produced when that muscle contracts.  The most common places for this product are the frown lines between the eyebrows, and crow’s feet.

Juverderm and Prevelle Silk are dermal (skin fillers) which are injected into the skin to fill in areas that have lost volume due to aging or creases caused by wrinkles.  Areas such as the smile lines, marionette lines (at the corners of the mouth), lip augmentation, and the hollows under they eyes are commonly treated with these kinds of fillers.

Radiesse is another type of filler. Radiesse works with your body below the skin’s surface and is considered a “sub-dermal” filler. The substance used is calcium hydroxylapitite, a naturally occurring substance that does not cause allergic reactions and thus does not require testing.

The Obagi products are practitioner-prescribed cosmetics and skin care products which provide many benefits.  They improve function within the skin cells, and help skin look and act younger and healthier. They also help to reduce acne flair ups.

Anyway, Sue Morgan did some fillers in the area and I look like I’m in my 30’s again. This doesn’t look fake at all and people I’ve known forever just keep coming up to me and saying “you look great”—or “you look so rested”. It’s my secret weapon. Thanks  Laura B
